Ashot Vardapetyan, the President of the team Mika (Erevan) is surprised by the fact that neither Armenian Ministry of Sports, nor chess Federation has reacted anyhow on the success the team achieved recently in Eilat. As you know, Mika took second place at the European Club Cup.

"It's quite surprising for me that the Regulations of the Ministry of Sports says that the achievements in the club competitions are not a subject for encouragement, - sport.news.am cites Vardapetyan. - We probably have so many chess achievements that it's useless to pay attention to the achievements of the clubs! The second place is a great success, because our team was worse than only Monte-Carlo - objectively the strongest team. The attitude towards the clubs should be changed. Our chess club sport is not developed in comparison to a lot of other sports, as well as the encouragement of the club victories."
