Suat Atalik, who is now playing in Serbia, gave an interview to Chessdom and shared interesting details: the organizer of the tournament held in August in Chalkida, Greece, Mr. George Tsounis not just refused to gather his colleagues in banning Atalik, but said he is "welcomed to play."

Let us remind you that the Greek Chess Federation banned GM Atalik to participate in the tournaments held in Greece under the request of the Turkish Chess Federation.

At the same time Atalik notes that he has been receiving a lot of letters of support from other federations and organizers. "People invite me to play in places I have never been before."

"I will defend my legal rights, - Atalik adds. - and those who know me understand that this means I will push it to the end.”
