The President of the company AGON Andrew Paulson has provided an additional statement with regards to the cancellation of the Chelyabinsk stage of the Grand Prix. On our question why, in his opinion, the Russian Chess Federation prevented this tournament from happening, Paulson replied,

"It's a mystery to me! I have nothing but respect [for] Ilya Levitov and we have a perfectly cordial, though not intimate, relationship. As to Arkady Dvorkovich, similarly, last time I ran into him I proposed that we get together for lunch and he agreed, but we never got around to to it. Perhaps that's the reason… I always find that lunch can solve the most intractable problems".

We remind you that earlier today the Chairman of the RCF Board Ilya Levitov has given his explanations to Chess-News.
