Peter Svidler gave a short interview (in Russian) to the Russian Chess Federation website. The winner of the Russian Championship 2011 is, in general, satisfied with his performance at the Team Championship, although he'd "be glad to forget the game against Jakovenko."

Peter noted that it's always a great atmosphere inside the team. "That is one of the reasons why we all are playing in it from year to year. Our team composition is almost unchangeable and it has experienced very little rotation. Playing for this team is sheer pleasure! We already established contacts with people in Krasnodar Krai, we have some "insiders" at the markets of this splendid region, so our evening gatherings are quite informal. When I started to play for this team under current management, I was a bit shocked by the way the first meeting was held. But now, anticipation of these meetings is maybe one of the reasons why we still play for this team."

Svidler shared some of his future plans: "I may be giving commentary on Anand-Gelfand match in Moscow, while the busy schedule begins in August."

According to GM, the match will be more interesting than it's expected. "I think that current form of the World Champion, as well as his challenger's, doesn't reflect reality.  Anyways, time will show, two grand players are competing!".
