Armenian Chess Championship: White Celebrated Four Wins; Andriasian Improved Upon Volokitin's Play

The first round of the Armenian Chess Championship 2012 is over. The day turned out to be luckier for the White:

Grigoryan A. - Andriasian 1/2-1/2
Ter-Sahakyan - Melkumyan 1-0
Grigoryan K. - Pashikian 1-0
Hovhannisyan - Babujian 1-0

In the only drawn game Black refused following Rublevsky - Volokitin (1-0) played in Sochi, 2004.

A small advantage could be fighted by 16.Nxc1!? Ng3+ 17.hxg3 Qh6+ 18.Kg1 Qe3+ 19.Rf2 Qe1+ 20.Qf1, which was mentioned in the commentary to the game dated 2004.

White agreed to the perpetual check. Continuation could have taken place in the case of 17.Rxc1.
