The candidature that "suits everyone" 

Chairman of the Russian Chess Federation Board Ilya Levitov announced the candidate on the post of the head coach of Russian National Team at the meeting of Supervisory Board of RCF. That is Yury Dokhoyan current head coach of Russian women’s team, whom, Anatoly Bykhovsky, Chairman of Trainer’s Council, considers as a candidature that suits everyone.

According to Bykhovsky the idea of offering Dokhoyan to head Russian men’s team appeared only several days ago. The initiative came from Levitov, in addition to that Dokhoyan himself expressed a desire and readiness to hold a new position. Over the past two days Bykhovsky has phoned to almost all members of the Trainer’s Council as well as to the candidates for the national team – an overwhelming majority welcomed the idea and expressed a belief to Dokhoyan.

Yury Dokhoyan – Grandmaster, won his way as a coach. He has been a coach and a second of Kasparov for many years, up to the last game of thirteenth World Champion in March 6th 2005. His last years’ career includes a successful work with Russian women’s team. After a failure at Olympiad-2008 he managed to lead the team to the European Champion title, to win “silver” at World Team Championship and “gold” at the recent Olympiad in Khanty-Mansiysk.
