Пускай давно мы расхотели
Мозги и мышцы напрягать,
Но виртуозно, в самом деле,
Умеем главное – ругать.

Славянам скучно не бывает:
Ведь их буквально каждый день
Кому придется, всяк ругает
И, в принципе, кому ни лень.

Что там Левитов и Бареев -
Они на ставках в РШФ,
Ругают чукчей и евреев,
С утра умыться не успев.

Нельзя? Но даже Бобби Фишер,
Который сам евреем был,
Ругал своих, по сути, бывших,
Немалый подрастратив пыл.

Злодей Корчной, который прямо
Рожден, чтобы других месить,
У Касымджанова Рустама
Экс-титул хочет «откусить»!

Сынам Востока достается -
Полмира шахматного их.
Но каково же мне придется
За этот мой крамольный стих?

Люблю болтать про толерантность,
Природу дружбы постигать;
Но жизни придает пикантность
Одно: кого-нибудь ругать.

  • Few chess players have been hated upon during the World Chess Championship matches as much as Anand and Gelfand. With a little help from Garry Kasparov we have discovered that their confrontation had nothing to do with determining the strongest player in the world. And there we go. “The most boring match in the chess history”; “another dull draw”, “watching the grass grow in my garden is more exciting”; “a clash of the pensioners” – these are some of the epithets Anand and Gelfand have been awarded.

  • The website osetiasportivnaya.ru publsihed the list of top-30 rapid players. Let us remind you that such ratings were officially introduced a year ago, however, FIDE still hasn't made a rapid rating list yet.

  • The 6th round of the Georgian Men's Championship has finished in the Tbilisi Chess Palace. Unlike the previous round which was marked with a triumph of White (they won 5 out of 6 games), Round 6 finished in Black’s favor – 4 out of 6 games finished in their victory, other 2 games finished peacefully. 

  • Famous Czech publisher Bretislav Modr has passed away 

  • The website extratime.az published Round 1 pairings of the friendly match Azerbaijan - Georgia which starts today in Tbilisi at 15:00 MSK Time.The Azerbaijani players have white in the 1st round. 

  • The Strastnoy Boulevard located in Moscow is hosting a simultaneous exhibition; however the main event will put to a sword two chess robots: Russian CHESSka (the creation of Konstantin Kosteniuk) and German KUKA Monstr (which was constructed just a short time ago by robots building corporation KUKA robotics).

  • A draft about the status of 65th Men Championship is now published on the web page of Russian Chess Federation.
