Isaac Linder passed away on the last day of October, twenty days prior to his 95th birthday.
Linder's 90th jubilee was widely celebrated five years ago in the Russian Central House of Chess. He wasn't just a chess historian, but also Candidate of Historical Sciences and a famous writer who authored over 400 publications on native and foreign chess culture.
"He is the contemporary and the co-author of all chess champions altogether," they said that evening and it could hardly be an exaggeration.
We convey our sincere condolences to the family and friends of Isaac Linder.
