In comments on our website, the leading Czech grandmaster spoke about the release of his book "My world of chess."

"In my opinion, the title quite clearly describes the content of the book", says Navara, "because my life has largely been to do with chess. Of course, there is another chess world. The book contains mostly my games, essays and reports from tournaments. Sooner or later, there will be a Russian version, although, in my opinion, this will probably only come later. I wrote mostly for the Czech public who know me well, and there is clearly not enough of such books in Czech, whereas in Russian and in English there are a lot of them. So, the foreign editions will have to be reworked.

My book is quite a long story. Pavel Matocha spent several years trying to persuade me to write it. Then I spent a couple of years working on it and, finally, had to wait for two years, since Pavel had many other projects on. Now we are both very happy that the book has finally appeared."

Tomorrow in Prague, the traditional, thirteenth Čez Chess Trophy opens, the main event of which will be a match of four games between David Navara and Wesley So. You can follow the news and reports on Chess-News.

The English version should

The English version should also appear sooner or later, but understandably requires substantial changes as well. At the moment it is rather a project but I intend to work on it in-between the chess events.
