Malcolm Pein, the tournament director of the London Chess Classic festival, has announced five participants of the main tournament for 2014 in his Twitter, namely:

Viswanathan ANAND

Vladimir KRAMNIK
Michael ADAMS.

The name of the 6th participant remains unknown yet except for the fact that Magnus Carlsen won't take part.

After the 2-years break, an elite classical chess tournament is in the London Chess Classic program again, as the 2013 festival saw only the rapid elite event. However, this year the classic event will be of very short duration: it will be a single round-robin tournament of 6 players to take place from December 10 to December 14, according to the official tournament schedule.

The 2014 festival will also include an open rapid tournament (at least six 2700+ players are expected to participate), the FIDE open, and a few other tournaments and events for the spectators.

Four of the mentioned quintet (Caruana, Anand, Nakamura, Kramnik) can be also seen in the list of players for Zurich 2015, where they will be accompanied by Aronian and Karjakin.
