Russian men's team literally wrung victory in the tough match aganst Uzbekistan.

Kramnik lost against Kasimdzhanov on the first board. The ex-FIDE champion gathered two points in a row in the games against Ivanchuk and Kramnik - far not everyone can boast of such a result.

Grischuk and Nepomniachtchi won their games against Filippov and Vakhidov respectively, while Svidler was close to losing against Dzhumaev. The spectators checking computer evaluations might have been absolutely sure of the outcome of this game, but Dhzumaev made a mistake on the 34th move by exchanging the queens - the rook endgame and Tarrasch worked for Svidler.

The draw brought Russia a very important win. Now it has 10 points and is among the nearest rivals of the two leadign teams.
