World champion rounds up personal encounters against Nakamura: 10-0

The second cycle of Gashimov Memorial repeats the beginning of the competition: only Carlsen wins. Today the world champion won the second game in a row beating Nakamura for the 10th time; he's back to solo lead.

The game partly resembles to the one played in Zurich, although there's one big difference between them: Nakamura wasn't winning at any point. As he noted, however, he was more than optimistic before Carlsen managed to exchange the queens. After this, according to Norwegian, worst is behind for Black, but it also shouldn't have an advantage.

Nakamura made several mistakes in a time trouble and eventually got outplayed. Magnus could finish the game quickly by playing 42...b3, but as it turned out he didn't even considered the move.He said he calculated that 42...Rd2 was winning and that was enough.
