Karjakin doesn't win Candidates' but "laughs longest"

Sergey Karjakin is the hero of the second part of the Candidates'. He managed to recover after first half of the tournament and fight for the first place, after beating Aronian in the last round Russian GM finished second.

It was the longest encounter of the entire tournament and finished on move 94. Yesterday he was trying to outplay Anand for 91 moves.

"I wonder overall how many hours I spent at the board," Karjakin laughed remembering his long games against Svidler, Kramnik and Mamedyarov. All of them were played in the second half of the competition.

Karjakin, "Yeah, I played pretty well in the second half of the tournament. It would of course be cool to win yesterday, but well, that's chess."

Aronian, "Well, this was hardly my best competition. I don't know how to explain what happened. I can only hope that I have used up the limit of losses this year..."
