The key game of Round 11 at Candidates' between Anand and Kramnik was drawn.

According to Kramnik, after yesterdays' blow he didn't prepare for today's encounter. He decided to play the opening which, as he said, he knows quite well, in other words Catalan. Already during the game, Russian GM decided to try one of the lines he has analysed previously.

"That was back in times when the computers were satisfied with an extra pawn and now the times have changed..." smiled Kramnik, who didn't like his position at the board. Active pieces compensated the lost pawn for Black.

Kramnik, "Well, maybe it's just that I have this mood today. White might not be worse, but if I had a choice, I would choose black pieces. Overall, I had to play accurately to make a draw. After my last two game, I checked all the variants several times... I managed not to blunder."

Kramnik, "I consider my yesterday's game as a key one for me in this competition. I had an advantage and made one-move blunder, which put all upside down. After that I didn't really believe I could win the competition. Even if I have won today, I don't believe I could surpass everyone in three upcoming rounds.

My sleeping regime? That's a timely question! I can't say it was ideal previously during the competition but yesterday (or even today) I managed to fall asleep only after 6 a.m..."

Anand, "I am sleeping well, about 9 hours."
Kramnik, "That's why there's two-point difference between us..."
