Vesti Arkhangelsk, Russia 1 Channel reports Nadezhda Kosintseva gave birth to a girl.

Russian chess player turned 29 on January 14. Currently she resides in USA.

  • Yesterday turned out to be successful for Kosintseva sisters, who gained wins in the women's Superfinal held in Moscow. Nadezhda gave a commentary to our correspondent telling about her success. 

  • The FIDE website reports that Nadezhda Kosintseva has withdrawn from the Grand Prix Series. According to the announcement, she has been replaced by her sister Tatiana Kosintseva due to the rating criteria. Let us remind you that Tatiana has already participated in the 1st stage of the Grand Prix and shared 3-4 places.

  • I found this video taken in Round 8 of the Olympiad on the forum of the website Chessglum. It shows Kosintseva Tatiana playing against Lahno of Ukraine and is considered by some to be the very game (and match) after which Sergei Rublevsky "shook up" the team.

    Tatiana and Nadezhda presented RCF with an ultimatum: either the captain of the team Sergey Rublevsky will be replaced or they won't play for the team.
