Some play at the World Cup, while others are only getting ready to participate in it once. The International Chess Academy, the opening of which was covered on our website, is working in Tbilisi, Georgia.

  • When I started to prepare this report, I saw the appalling news from Moscow. It destroyed my wish to describe the closing ceremony of the third Grand Prix stage. I hope the readers will excuse me for this.

    The pictures are expressive enough so that you will probably need no hints to get the impression of how the Tbilisi stage finished.

  • A solemn opening ceremony of the International Chess Academy was held in Tbilisi Chess Palace today. Especially for this cause the FIDE President Kirsan Ilyumzhinov arrived to Georgian capital.
