The New Women's Grand Prix Series Will Start On May 2nd in Geneva

The 1st stage of the Women's Grand Prix will start on May 2nd in Geneva. Kirsan Ilyumzhinov informed Chess-News during the live talk several hours ago. The FIDE president also added that the contracts for all six stages are already signed naming some of the cities which may host them: "Tashkent, Khanty-Mansiysk, Mongolia..."

As usual, each city can nominate its best player. "I nominated the Swiss Alexandra Kosteniuk from Geneva," Ilyumzhinov said, "She is a citizen of Switzerland."
