Dvorkovich Memorial: Dmitry Kokarev on His Crushing Game Against Andrey Stukopin

Another brilliant game at the Dvorkovich Memorial took place between Kokarev (2627) and Stukopin (2492). The winner Dmitry Kokarev commented on his winning encounter that finished in 21 moves.

Kokarev: "White's pieces are developed well and that definitely gives it an advantage. So, you have this feeling that you should find some combination and actually that's what finally happened."

Kokarev: "Honestly, my position filled me with some strategical concern, so I had to offer the piece sacrifice..."

13...Qxc3 saving some chances for defence. The position would be mutually sharp and quite "playable." It's not ruled out White wouldn't have an advantage. Well, that can be found out with the help of the "iron friend."

CN: Black still had a chance: 14...d5 15.Bb3 Qxc3. Although, in this case GM wouldn't be unsure of who had an advantage.
Kokarev: "After Andrey took a piece, he probably had no chances to defend."
