Ju Wenjun reached semifinal by the help of  tie-breaks (PHOTOS)

Ju Wenjun of China defeated her compatriot in a tie-break which became 4th for her during the Women's World Championship. Thus, she was qualifying to each round only by winning rapid and blitz games. Her rivals were: Pourkashiyan, Zatonskih, Zhukova and today - Huang Qian.

In general the clash of two Chinese players went with Ju Wenjun's slight advantage, while tie-break games are not worth of commentary - both made a lot of mistakes, which is an explainable tendency for additional games. The second blitz game 10+10 was decisive and finished in favor of Ju Wenjun.
